Jog Blog - To Boldly Go
Friday September 8, 2006
A brisk forty five minute jog, pounding round and round the park, half uphill and half downhill. This is a really busy park. Lots of kids, some with their skateboards and others jumping out at me from behind bushes. Dogs chasing one another and considering the delights of chasing me. A small group of people preparing for their nightly Tai-Chi. A white van parked so far up the kerb that I have to run in the road. I hear Portishead playing as I charge by. People coming out of their houses and pointing at their cars to make them beep. A woman wrestling with a bike to keep a small girl upright and other runners now starting to look familiar, although they don’t yet make eye contact.
